Throughout our lives, Linda and I have had the chance to travel to many different places, from popular tourist spots to lesser-known, out-of-the-way destinations. I personally enjoyed those less-traveled locations the most, though Linda didn’t always share that preference.

Often, while exploring remote, forgotten, unique, marvelous, historic, and unknown places, we’ve had the great pleasure of discovering wonderful sites and interesting people. We’ve learned about the history of these locations and the people who lived there. That history is often quite exciting, even astounding.

In the articles on this blog, I’ve tried to include some of the most memorable places we’ve visited. I hope you enjoy reading about them as much as we enjoyed experiencing them.
